A Botox (Botulinum Toxin) Injection for Dystonia

I get injected with a poison on a Quarterly basis at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Botulinum Toxin is derived from the Botulism virus and is most commonly known as Botox. Sadly, my neck does not look any younger (only joking, I'm not vain, really!). It gets injected into four neck muscles to help control the symptoms of Cervical (neck) Dystonia, also known as Spasmodic Torticollis. Whilst it doesn't work for everyone, it has worked wonders for me because back in 2008 my head was locked into a painful, twisted posture that had left me virtually bed-ridden due to the intense pain.
